His Royal Highness Papa Emorimor Paul Sande Emolot Etomeileng III, President of the African Diaspora Kingdoms Alliance (AKDA), together with Ambassador David Emoot, was accorded high honors on arrival in Eswatini. The delegation was received at the King’s VIP Lounge, the official holding room reserved for distinguished guests, ahead of the annual Reed Dance ceremony.
Papa Emorimor was later hosted by His Highness King Mswati III, who extended a warm welcome and acknowledged the significance of his presence at the cultural festival. The Reed Dance, a centuries-old tradition, attracts thousands of maidens and serves as one of Eswatini’s most important cultural events, symbolizing purity, unity, and continuity of heritage.
The visit underscores the strengthening ties between African cultural leaders and the Kingdom of Eswatini, coming just days after Papa Emorimor addressed the Conference of Africa Indigenous Leaders Council in Mbabane. His participation highlights the growing role of traditional leaders in fostering unity and cultural diplomacy across the continent
