AKALIAIT DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (AKADEF) LIMITED
AKALIAIT DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (AKADEF) LIMITED is a charitable organization registeredin Uganda.
It was founded by Her Royal Highness Juliet Among Emolot Atomeileng, the Akaliait (Queen) of the Teso Chiefdom.
While the Foundation is an independently registered organization, it is part of the Iteso Cultural Union structure and amplifies the Chiefdom’s reach and impact on a local, national, international, and global level.
Since its inception in 2022, the Foundation has actively been involved in making a difference in the lives of children, youth, women, families, and the entire Iteso fraternity at large in Uganda and beyond.

Mission:
To foster inclusive growth and improve quality of life among children, girls and boys by implementing grassroots-led solutions that are community driven and impact oriented.
Strategic Objectives:
- Promote cultural awareness and its preservation, as well as environmental and climate issues, to improve
quality of life through a collaborative approach. - Empower women, girls, and boys through vocational skills training, business skills, livelihood programs,
leadership development, and mentorship. - Promote education (formal education) by mobilizing parents, communities, resources, and scholarships for
vulnerable girls and boys. - Strengthen advocacy against all forms of violence and promote peace.
- Facilitate, disseminate, and provide parenting practices to enable holistic development of children.
