His Royal Highness Papa Emorimor this evening held a significant engagement with the “Emuria
Koliai Group”, a team of distinguished Iteso people of goodwill committed to promoting Teso
culture and supporting institutional development activities and programs.
The meeting, convened at the ICU premises in Soroti, brought together cultural custodians,
leaders, and development partners in an atmosphere of unity and purpose. The discussions
reaffirmed the shared commitment of the Iteso people towards safeguarding their cultural heritage
while advancing modern development initiatives.
Key deliberations emphasized the importance of collective effort in resource mobilization through
structured programs such as:
- ICUDEF – The ICU Development Arm
- AKADEF – Akaliait Development Foundation. The Development Arm Headed by the Queen of Iteso Nation.
- Emorimor Education Fund – Dedicated to supporting education for the younger generation
